About the Encampment:

The encampment was a community built by students in support of CEASEFIRE in Gaza. The encampment started on March 27th as a effort to bring visibility to hundreds of hundreds of thousands of displaced families in Gaza who are forced to live in tents. The student encampment was 100% peaceful. It was a space for education and community building. The students, for example, organized:

• Music programs

• Teach-ins

• Study Groups

• Yoga

There was not one incident of violence in the student encampment.
